    Lord Leycester Hospital, Warwick

The Hospital, one of the principal sights of Warwick, is a Grade 1 Listed group of buildings dating principally from the 13th to the 17th Century. Apart from its Chapel above the west gate of the town, a regimental museum and public rooms, it contains living accommodation for eight ex-servicemen and their wives and the Master of the Hospital.

Much of the structure is timber framed requiring careful conservation and repair. Other features include stained glass, 16th Century wall painting and William Morris fabrics. Specialist advice is given in an ongoing programme of conservation and repair, the responsibility for this has been with the Practice for over 25 years.

    Ilam Cross, Ilam, Derbyshire

The Ilam Cross was erected in 1840 as a memorial to the wife of the owner of the nearby great house. It was designed by architect, John Derick, and bears a resemblance to the Eleanor Crosses. It is a very significant feature in the beautiful landscape of Dovedale and the attractive village of Ilam.

The Bath stonework had, however, weathered badly and urgent repair and conservation was necessary. This project was supported by a grant from English Heritage
