Training and CPD Policy

It is the policy of Brown Matthews Architects to actively promote constant training for all members of staff.

Training can take the form of attending seminars and courses arranged by a commercial organisation or as part of a Continuing Professional Development(CPD) programme.

Training requirements are the responsibility of the Principal who carries out staff assessments annually. Details of the assessment and training needs are recorded. Staff are then encouraged or detailed to attend those courses relevant to their own career development or to the needs of the Practice.

Records of individual’s progress and achievement in CPD and training are maintained in the individual's CPD / Training file, together with details of events and attendance.

We feel that continued training can help our staff to respond effectively to the continually changing demands of all aspects of architectural design and to deliver ever higher standards of quality, service and value.
